About Us

Franklin County Cemetery Society (FCCS) was formed in May of 2006. It is a group of dedicated members interested in cemetery preservation.

Objective: The FCCS's objective is to locate, research and where possibe restore cemeteries in Franklin County, Missouri.

Our Focus Area: Although our namesake and primary focus is Franklin County, Missouri, we also find ourselves working on projects outside the county, if there is a need, community support and finances allow.

Projects

The Franklin County Cemetery Society restores cemeteries by invitatiion and ask only that someone continues to mow and clean the cemetery once the restoration is complete.  There is no charge for our work

Members: Becoming a member is a way of showing support for the FCCS. Yearly memberships (Jan.-Dec.) are $10.00 and this fee goes toward purchasing the materials needed for preservation and repair. Our members also are volunteers who are willing to put forth a little time and effort towards these goals. Typically, work sessions are held a few days each month and last one to several hours. Again, all work is volunteer and you are not required to help, but our members find this very rewarding! Remember the saying, "Many hands make light work!"

Get Involved

The Franklin County Cemetery Society has never charged fees for our cemetery restoration services, however we do rely on donations to support our efforts. Currently our funding for our supplies and materials comes from friends of the FCCS and dues collected from our members. If you are interested in supporting our endeavors, we would gladly accept a donation mailed to :
